• IS THE ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION OF COMMON COURSES DIFFERENT ACCORDING TO THE DEPARTMENTS?

The Common Courses given in the attached link are specified in the Procedures and Principles. You can access it from the LİNK.

Common Courses are assessed and evaluated jointly. Grade ranges of common courses under the relevant coordinatorships are determined by the relevant ESTU common courses commissions, and grade ranges and letter grades are applied exactly, regardless of academic unit difference.

Attention! The following grade ranges are used only for Social Responsibility courses (ESTU111 and THU203).

• ARE THE CONTENTS OF THE COMMON COURSES DIFFERENT ACCORDING TO THE DEPARTMENTS?

The Common Courses given in the attached link are specified in the Procedures and Principles. You can access it from the LİNK.

The basic point in the definition of common course is the principle of being the same of “learning outcomes”. All compulsory, vocational elective or elective courses at associate, undergraduate or graduate level, which have the same code and are taught in at least two programs, are defined as "Common Course".

• I'M AN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT, CAN I TAKE COURSES FROM ASSOCIATE DEGREE POOL?

Since the learning outcomes of some of our common courses are the same for associate and undergraduate students, some of our courses are taught jointly. If the course quotas of the units are suitable, the course can be taken from the associate degree program.

• WHAT SHOULD WE DO IF WE HAVE A QUOTA REQUEST FOR COMMON COURSES?

Kindly send your quota request to your advisor. Your advisor will contact the department. Quota requests will be evaluated according to the suitability of the course.
